Mississippi writer and lifelong animal lover Willie Morris and his dog, Pete. Friends of Pete honors Willie's commitment to Pete by finding loving homes for abandoned, neglected, abused or homeless animals.

 

Friends of Pete will do our best to match any person, no matter the location, with some of our animal friends. We'll still check you out thoroughly, however. See below for pictures of some our adoptable dogs.

Since we have no central facilities, we always need foster families to help us give temporary homes to dogs in need until an adopter can be found. If you're interesting in fostering a Friend, or if you've already given shelter to a lost dog and would like to add him or her to the Friends of Pete adoptable pet list, contact us. We'll take it from there.
